Artwork File Formats

What type of artwork is needed?

Vector images

To ensure the best possible printing of your logo we recommend that a vector graphic be provided.  Artwork in this format is saved as mathematical equations and can be easily edited and resized without compromising the image quality.

Vector artwork can be supplied in the following file types:

  • EPS – Encapsulated Post Script
  • CDR – Corel Draw
  • AI – Adobe Illustrator
  • PDF – Portable Document Format.  Note - please ensure artwork is converted to curves/paths to avoid font conflicts.
Is my image a Vector file?
To ascertain if your artwork is vector, simply open it and zoom in.  If the edges of each object within the graphic stay smooth and clean it is a vector graphic.  If it looks blocky, or ‘pixelated’ it is a raster graphic.

No vector image?
If you don’t have a vector graphic of your logo we can redraw bitmaps, scanned images or any file type that we are able to open.  This can be done for a fee of $45.00 - $60 per logo (depending on complexity).

PMS Colours and Charts

The Pantone Matching System (PMS) is a colour reference guide only for colour matching.   It is important to remember that PMS matches on promotional products can vary from almost perfect in some processes to only approximate in others.  The colour of the product chosen is a big factor in our ability to match PMS colours.

For pad and screen printing, close PMS colour matches are best achieved on white products.  Reasonably close matches can also be achieved on frosted clear and silver services but as the colour of the product gets darker the ability to match PMS colours diminishes.

Please do not hesitate to ask for more information about PMS colours if you have any concern as to whether the printing process can deliver the level of accuracy you require on the products you order.
